KCI-29 Ace Hardware
In Progress
Ace Hardware is working to build a 1.5 million-square-foot distribution center located in KCI-29 Logistics Park. Port KC partnered with Hunt Midwest to secure a $40 million Industrial Site Development Grant from Missouri’s Department of Economic Development (DED) funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The grant will be allocated towards infrastructure improvements to the park, attracting more businesses to open facilities in Kansas City.
Port KC issued $110 million in bonds to support the development of the distribution center. The facility is expected to create 350 jobs with an average wage of $45,760. By building an international large-scale retail distribution center and e-commerce operator, economic development and growth continue to soar in Kansas City.
