Lightwell

This renovation project improved a 30-story office building in the central business district of downtown, then known as the City Square Center building. The 657,000-square-foot Lightwell tower’s goal was to enhance the streetscape and increase occupancy by providing more premium office spaces. Lightwell is located in the heart of Downtown Kansas City, adjacent to the Power & Light Entertainment District and near Interstates 70, 35, and Highway 169.  

Somera Road and J.E. Dunn Construction partnered with Port KC to receive $85 million in conduit bonds and certain tax exemptions. Somera Road invested $85,000 on these improvements using Port KC’s conduit bonds. All Port KC bonds are privately backed.
