Riverfront Bike and Pedestrian Bridge
In Progress
The City of Kansas City, in partnership with Port KC and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA), are working to build a pedestrian bridge running parallel to the Grand Street Viaduct. The project is expected to cost $10-13 million and is currently in the early funding and development stages.
Currently, the only pedestrian and bike option into the riverfront is via the Town of Kansas Bridge to the west. The pedestrian bridge would increase safety, accessibility, and walkability from the River Market directly to Berkley Riverfront Park.
