Historically, ports served as the primary entry to a city, a connecting point for people and goods. In fact, we still ship freight at the Port of Kansas City along the Missouri River. In our modern world, ports are still connectors and generate hubs of activities. However, the duties of port authorities have expanded. Advocates & Advisors
Leading all water-based federal issues and projects for Kansas City while serving as volunteer and contractual technical advisors.
Development Finance
Issuing conduit bonds and exemptions for projects that fulfill our core mission, including attracting new jobs and private investment.
Land Reclamation
Reclaiming riverfront land and environmentally contaminated land for redevelopment.
Revenue Reinvestment
Reinvesting revenue in infrastructure projects.
